The Ingens-Locus is Antares' newer performance all-season - the tire that's replacing the Ingens A1 in sport sizes. If you priced an A1 and your size was gone, this is where it went. Same budget-brand pricing, one generation newer.
Antares is shifting its performance sizes from the long-running Ingens A1 over to the Ingens-Locus. It's an asymmetric-tread all-season aimed at the same job - a quiet, affordable performance tire for cars, and it covers the bigger fitments the A1 is selling out of: 18s through 22s, including staggered setups.
Same honest positioning as everything Antares makes: it's a budget tire, not a Michelin Pilot. But if you need a W-rated performance size and don't want to spend $300 a corner, this is one of the cheapest legitimate ways to do it - new, warrantied, and it balances up clean like Antares tires generally do.

That's the direction. Antares is moving its performance sizes to the Locus, and at our distributor the A1 is already sold out in several sport sizes while the Locus is stocked deep in them. The A1 is still widely available in everyday sizes.
For a budget performance all-season, yes. It's new, warrantied, and covers big-rim sizes at less than half of premium pricing. It won't out-grip a premium performance tire - but against a worn set or a used tire, it's a clear upgrade. We've written an honest take on the whole brand in our Antares review.
